What is difference between fanuc alpha and beta motors?

Are you familiar with FANUC controllers and servo motors? FANUC usually has two types of servo motors, Alpha and Beta, if you don’t know the difference between them, please read on.

FANUC produces three series of spindle motors. Among them, the BETA i-B series spindle motor has a remarkable cost performance and is an ideal choice for cost control.

ALPHA i-B series spindle motors offer enhanced torque and power to handle heavier cuts and offer shorter acceleration and deceleration times. Belts and gearboxes cause vibration and wear, and the built-in (frameless) Bi-B series spindle motor eliminates the need for additional mechanical equipment through its direct drive design.
